Oh, the birthday party.
Time to Party Plan! — days and weeks of preparation for one two-hour party on a Saturday? I’m a mom, my days are already full enough, but whatever I have to do to make sure she has the best day ever, I’ll do it. To help you save time, here are some of my favourite places to go for Birthday's!
Once you’ve gotten the date and theme figured out, the next step is probably picking the party venue. Sometimes they already know where they want to go, but if not, don’t worry. I’ve rounded up a list of five amazing places to host your kid’s birthday in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The best part? Most of them offer birthday party packages that include food, drinks, and activities, so you can knock a ton of things off your plate with one booking!
scout coffee + tea
859 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba | 204.914.3800
1199 Rothesay St. Winnipeg, Manitoba | 204.504.4005
As a home based business owner and new mom, I've always wanted a place outside of the home where I can work and she can play. This local spot is called a play-cafe, the combination of a play space & coffee shop. They new location on Rothesay offers private events!

KidCity
801 Century St, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3H 0C3
550 Archibald St, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2J 0X7
KidCity is a classic kid’s birthday venue. They have a decent playground, and an arcade for any older kids that are “too cool” to run around the playground with the little ones. What’s super helpful is they offer multiple party-booking options — you can even rent out the entire venue for a private party! Every booking also includes food and drinks (check!).

Archibald Location
My Fun Land
370 St Anne's Rd, Winnipeg, Manitoba
My Fun Land is designed specifically for kids seven and under (great for toddlers). I love that their location is smaller and more intimate than places like KidCity. Plus, every party booking is private, so you get the entire space to yourself, and includes pizza and pop (always a crowd pleaser).

Hide n Seek
305 Fort Whyte Way #100, Oak Bluff, MB R4G 0B1
Hide n Seek is a great place for parties if you have kids of all ages attending. They have a huge two-storey play structure, and toddler-specific space that includes a toy area and separate playground from the bigger kids. Hide n Seek also includes food and drinks in all their birthday party packages, and a private party room for cake cutting and gift opening.

Fun Park Amusement Centre
1175 Wilkes Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3P 1B9
Fun Park has everything — trampolines, play structures, a basketball zone, and even a ninja course! The large playground is great for toddlers, and older kids will love jumping around and playing on the bigger courses. Keep in mind, the attractions aren’t well-suited for infants, so I wouldn’t recommend hosting a birthday party here if you have lots of one or two-year-olds on your guest list.

Community Centres and Gyms
Community centres and gyms are for much more than just socials and sports! Renting out a community centre is amazing because you have tons of freedom — you can bring your own games and activities (bounce house, anyone?), food, and decorations. They’re also ideal if you’re hosting a really big group, since you’ll have a large open space for everyone to move around in. Just make sure to ask what’s allowed and what’s not before deciding on any activities or food you plan to bring.
Are you familiar with any of these spots? Any new ones you’ve never heard of? Are there any places I missed you’d also recommend? Let me know!
